Security

We want you to be safe when using our online and service and so have provided a series of useful tips and links to help.

1.1 How to stay safe online

To combat the everyday threat of internet fraud and intrusion from hackers the government and leading consumer facing organisations have worked together to create Get Safe Online.

This web site helps individuals and small businesses protect themselves against risks such as viruses, spam, spyware and online fraud.

Visit the Get Safe Online site for further advice: www.getsafeonline.org

1.2 How we will contact you for personal information

We will never contact you to ask for your User ID or Password.

If you get an email or a phone call asking for this information, refuse the request as it may be a fraudster.

1.3 Your password

For your own benefit and ease of use our policy is:
• To allow you to choose your own password which is easy to remember and is a minimum of 6 characters.
• We don’t allow you to choose a password that matches your User ID.
• We do not know your password, will not be able to access it and will never ask you to disclose it.

1.4 Good password practice

• A combination of letters and numbers will make a stronger password than just using letters.
• Don’t allow passwords to be saved on your PC and try to avoid writing your password down.
• Don’t email or store your account details on your PC as this reduces the risk of someone other than you accessing your information.

1.5 Forgotten your user id or password?

If you forget your User Id or password don’t worry.

You can retrieve either by clicking on “Returning Customer” in our Online Annuity Planner and following the links.

Alternatively you can contact us to discuss any concerns on 01737 233 413 or email us at customersupport@premierretirement.co.uk.

1.6 Your security question

We will ask you to choose a security question when you register for the Online Annuity Planner and then specify an answer.

We may use this Security Question to validate your identity, should you lose your username or password.

1.7 Your email address - making sure its private to you

We may send information to you that you would prefer to keep private, for example we will email you details of your quotes, reminders to help you complete the process etc.

Please make sure that this is your own e-mail address and only you are able to access it.

1.8 When you log on

We always display the time and date you last logged in, on the welcome page "Your Work" within the Online Annuity Planner.

This is so you can check no one else has used your account since your last visit.

If you suspect a problem with someone accessing your account please contact us on 01737 233 413 or email us at customersupport@premierretirement.co.uk so we can arrange to have your password changed.

1.9 Logging off:

Always ‘log off’ after you have finished using the annuity service.

To protect your data we automatically log you off your session if you don’t use the annuity service for a period of 20 minutes (i.e. there is no activity).
